During this exciting, interactive Tabletop Exercise (TTX) you play the role of an intelligence analyst helping NATO have better understanding of threats to Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) from state and non-state actors. You will learn basic coding skills for geospatial web searches, consider diverse information, apply government-grade intelligence analysis techniques, and make recommendations to defend assets from economic and cyber threats.

Your skills will be benchmarked against the British Government’s professional development framework for analysts.This immersive exercise is aligned with the focus and intent of the British Government’s Policy Paper, “The UK’s Defence Contribution in the High North.” By the end of this workshop, you will:

  • Have considered diverse information and applied critical thinking skills and analytical rigour.

  • Have made recommendations in support of government policy objectives for the Arctic High North.

  • Worked collaboratively with others and evidenced analytical and assessment best practice as used by Western governments.

  • Have a more-informed opinion of the different state and non-state actors and their intent in the High North and what it means to your own interests.
